Ochoa - Montilla and the siters Mazorra winers of the Ocean Park - Grade 4
Just when you thought Beach Tennis couldn't get any better, a G-4 event was held this past weekend in Ocean Park Beach, Puerto Rico. It was fun, it was family, it was friends, it was sport, it had love, it had emotions.
Action started on Saturday morning with Men's Open Doubles, Pro and Intermediate Levels. Now back-to-back champions Pedro Ochoa and Gabriel Montilla were able to win the title over Gary Bodon and Luis Lafontaine. On the Women's Pro Level side, the sisters Natalia and Maite Mazora made sure that their past victory over Beatriz Rivera and Sasha Verret was no mistake, with the score of 6-2, 6-1.
In Mixed Open, Beatriz Rivera and Gabriel Montilla beat Carlos Rivera and Sasha Verret in an exciting match.
The Intermediate Category medals were very hard fought, champions resulting to be to be Melvin Tirado partnering Negib, with finalist Hector Sanjenis and Kike Villafane.
The Intermediate Mixed was won by Melvin and Darita Bodon, with finalist being Hector Sanjenis and Ingrid Lozada.
The Singles Pro Category was won by Carlos Rivera who defeated Gary Bodon with the score of 8-1.
All the attention now turns to the International Championship to be held in Carolina Puerto Rico on November 30 and December 1-2.
Puerto Rico is expecting players from all over the world. Fun, Sun, Beach Tennis and Parties will be the agenda of the weekend.
