Barbara Jilkova and Luís Miguel Reyes finish the year at the top of the world rankings in women’s and men’s doubles

winners 2016 2Barbara Jilkova finished 2016 as n.1 in women's doubles; the Czech Republic player got brilliant results becoming the champion at the WCT tournaments in Clearwater, Cancun and Rio Grande and the semi finalist at the Barcelona World Championship.
The Puerto Rican Luis Miguel Reyes is the first player classified in men's doubles; one of his main records this past 2016 was winning the Barcelona World Championship. Reyes closed an amazing year by being first in both mixed doubles and men's singles.

Italy wins the IFBT 2016 Barcelona Beach Tennis World Championships

thumb IMG 6905 1024For the second year running the Italian team won the World Beach Tennis championship. They defeated Greece in both Women's and Men's. This victory consolidates Italy as an international Beach Tennis world power. The Italian power of both new and veteran players manages to surprise every year and they continue to stand on the main positions on the winners' podium. The Italian national anthem has been heard on the four days of the tournament; Italy was the country which got more medals of all the 21 participating nationalities.
