2018 was a great year for IFBT

world champions 2018The World Circuit ends the year with 78 tournaments held mainly in Europe, North and South America, and the United Arab Emirates.
The most important were the World Championships played in Castelldefels - Catalonia (Spain), the Pan-American Championships held in Santa Cruz de Cabralia (Brazil) and the European played in the beautiful beaches of Sardinia (Italy). This year we have welcomed new tournaments in New York (USA), Otawa (Canada), and Rostock (Germany), and tournaments in Poland, Chile and Argentina have been increasing.

Top players for the year in the different rankings are Simone Babini (Italy) in Men’s Doubles with 1215 points, Alejandra Jimenez and Eva Fernandez (Catalonia-Spain) in Women’s Doubles with 830 points, Claudia Brunelli (Italy) in Mixed Doubles with 1235 points, Matteo Godio (Italy) in Men’s Singles 565 points, Beatriz Rivera (Puerto Rico) in Women’s Doubles with 425 points, Raffaello Fabbri (Italy) with 500 points, Susy Manegatti (Italy) with 900 points, and Teo Baldrich (Catalonia-Spain) with 350 points.
We would like tto remember two great players who passed away last year Jan Vierendeels from Belgium I Petya Jesse Yaneva from Bulgaria.
