casadeiThe 4th European Championship was held for the first time ever at Villagio 4 Mori campsite in the town of Muravera in Sardinia, an autonomous region of Italy known for its beautiful beaches.
Most participants came from Catalonia and the city of Ravenna, Italy.
Men's, women's and mixed doubles were contested in both Pro and Advanced categories as well as singles and Over 35s.

IFBT-USA August G-4 Beach Tennis Tournament Pompano Beach, FL

foto2Beach Tennis Players from Miami, Boca Raton, Tampa, Pompano Beach, Philadelphia and Venezuela participated in the local tournament held in Pompano Beach, FL on a typically beautiful South Florida Sunday.

In the Men's Doubles Open Division Scott Kathary and Rick Simeon were the champions, defeating Adrian Beltramino and Patrick Tauma 7-5 after trailing 4-1. Patrick and Adrian were coming off a G-4 victory the previous month. Steve Culver and Ry Tarpley made a strong run to the semi-finals as did Jony Banos and Miguel Ferreyra.

hassan el arroussy1The international federation of beach tennis got a deal with Sportfolio/Beach Tennis Egypt which IFBT will represent in Egypt at all the official competitions.
Hassan El Aroussy founder and development director of sportfolio and Joan Egea Vice President of IFBT have signed the partnership agreement between Beach Tennis Egypt and IFBT which will ensure the development, promotion, and organization of events in their country. El Aroussy and Egea sealed the deal saying that the tournaments will happen in Egypt.
